Lucas Downer is a dedicated attorney with over a decade of experience practicing law. Since joining Ellerd, Dahlhauser, and Hultgrenn in 2024, his practice has focused on landlord-tenant issues, criminal defense cases, and employment disputes. He has successfully conducted trials in district and superior courts and has argued cases before the court of appeals and various jurisdictions across the state.
With a strong background in criminal law, Lucas has prosecuted and defended cases ranging from traffic citations and DUIs to sexual assaults and homicides. His expertise extends to his time serving on the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force, where he provided legal counsel to an interdepartmental agency consisting of federal and local law enforcement officers.
Lucas earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University–Idaho in 2007 and later graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2011. Before attending law school, he worked as a law clerk in his hometown of Cincinnati, investigating client claims for multi-million-dollar class-action lawsuits. Fluent in Portuguese, he brings a diverse perspective and a client-centered approach to his legal practice.
